Wind Chill Warning

Winter weather warning iconA Wind Chill Warning has been issued for the Rexburg area from 9:00 p.m. tonight until 9:00 a.m. MST Thursday. Wind chill temperatures between -20 °F to -30 °F are expected. Frostbite to exposed skin can occur in minutes. Students are encouraged to stay indoors tonight. If driving is necessary, be cautious of slick, snow-packed roads.

The university class schedule will continue as normal Thursday morning.

A Wind Chill Warning will remain in effect until 10 a.m. Saturday, with projected wind chills temperatures of 30 below zero expected. Frostbite to exposed skin can occur in minutes. If traveling, keep emergency supplies in your vehicle, and proceed with caution .

With heavy snow forecasted throughout the day and very cold temperatures expected this evening, the university encourages all attending commencement to allow extra time to travel, find parking, and walk to the BYU-Idaho Center.
