The power company now says the earliest power will be restored is 3:00 a.m. The Taylor Building on campus is open and warm for those who would like to shelter there.

The power company reports outage will last another three hours (until about 3 am). Everyone is advised to shelter in place. More updates to follow.
UPDATE 6:40 p.m.: Large-scale Power Outage
UPDATE 6:40 p.m.: BYU-Idaho is experiencing a large-scale power outage. Rocky Mountain Power has isolated the problem, and power will be restored in segments. A specific timeline for power on campus is unknown. Events and services will resume once the situation has been resolved.
In the event that power is not restored, President Gilbert will still be speaking at Grad Night at 7:00 p.m. in the Taylor Chapel.

UPDATE 6:05 p.m.: BYU-Idaho is experiencing a large-scale power outage. Rocky Mountain Power estimates that power will be restored by 6:30 p.m. Events and services will resume once the situation has been resolved. In the event that power is not restored, President Gilbert will still be speaking at Grad Night at 7:00 p.m. in the Taylor Chapel.

BYU-Idaho is experiencing a large-scale power outage. There is currently no estimate on the timeframe for restoration of power. Events and services will resume once the situation has been resolved.
UPDATE: Testing Center to Open Wednesday
The Testing Center will be open and operating on Wednesday as usual. Classes will also be held as scheduled, with the exception of those in the Smith Building. Classes there are canceled for Wednesday and the building will be closed.
To reiterate, the university will be flexible with and accommodating of the students and employees who have been affected by the flooding. Faculty have been instructed to work with those students who need to focus on recovering from the flood. Similarly, university departments have been asked to appropriately accommodate employees who have been directly impacted by the flooding.
